Where does the RIGWA name come from?

R I G W A are the middle initials of founder, Jericha Jordan's 5 young kids.

Inspired by her kids and driven by her frustration to find food storage that could keep up with her crazy family, Jericha created RIGWA to bring a food storage line that could offer non-toxic materials with unbreakable performance.

Jericha topped off the double wall stainless steel containers with patented air-tight lids that press air out and lock in freshness, so you can enjoy food - fresh - longer, anywhere!

Where is RIGWA located?

RIGWA is based in Charleston, SC where we manage all engineering & design, sales & marketing, warehousing & fulfillment, operations and customer service.

RIGWA products are produced overseas with third party - certified and approved - partners, using ethically sourced materials at every level.

What are your inserts made of?

We have two types of inserts:
1. Our Prep & Store Sets are made of USA sourced Tritan plastic and topped with leakproof silicone lids.

Tritan is a non-toxic, BPA & BPS free plastic with many 'glass-like' properties (crystal clear, stain resistant, dishwasher safe, freezer safe, and microwave safe).

Tritan (from Eastman) is USA created to be a safe, durable, and reliable material, widely used for food storage containers, blenders, water bottles and more. It is rigorously tested, FDA (& EU)-approved, and completely free of BPA, BPS, and other bisphenol compounds.

2. Our Silicone Accessories are made of platinum silicone that is completely non-toxic, leakproof, and unbreakable.

All inserts are custom designed to fit into RIGWA products for seamless fit with many features:
- Dishwasher safe (top rack)
- Microwave safe (reheat)
- Leakproof performance
- Smart stacking & storage
