FAQs
My REX seal is really tight... is that normal?
Yes, totally normal right out of the box, but it will get easier to open as it is used and washed.
Trick: if you want to make it super easy to open, apply a little cooking oil to the seal. The lid will remain leakproof, but will slide right off when opening.
Will my kids be able to open it?
Yes, our founders have 5 young kids, ages 4 to 13. The 6 year old and up, all use various RIGWA containers daily and open them on their own.
How long do containers keep food hot / cold?
It can vary quite a bit with food and largely depends on HOW FULL YOUR CONTAINER IS. The more food equals less "air"... and this means greater temperature retention for longer periods.
Bowls: hot UP TO 4 hr / cold UP TO 8 hr
POD: hot UP TO 4 hr / cold UP TO 8 hr
REX: hot UP TO 2 hr / cold UP TO 4 hr
